About the Artists:
Clayton Ryan is a country soul singer known for his electric performances and potent lyrics of Midwestern attitude, including his twenties spent in South Dakota. His sound blends country, folk, and rock music, as evident by his 2024 debut LP, “Ghost Town,” which was streamed over 10,000 times on day one. His music has been featured in NASCAR, NFL Sunday Night Football, The Outdoor Channel, “Walker,” and many international programs, and he has shared stages with artists like Joshua Quimby, Liam St John, John Morgan, and Julia DiGrazia. Clayton returns to The Matthews for one night only, with special guests Zander and Sammie Jean Cohen!

Zander is a true-blooded Minnesotan folk singer. His punk-infused bluegrass draws influences from artists like Trampled By Turtles, Pert Near Sandstone, Billy Strings, and Willie Nelson. His debut single “Can’t Go To Northeast” is a comical bluegrass tour through one of Minneapolis’s diviest neighborhoods and all the historic places that made it that.

Sammie Jean Cohen is a blues folk singer from Minnesota. With a smoky, hollering voice that beckons back to Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Bonnie Raitt, her blues rock delivery and charming stage presence is the exact thing roots music needs.
