Tracey Steinbach
Tracey was born and raised in Spearfish, SD and much of her family still resides in the area. She is married to her husband of 17 years, Brent Steinbach, and they have 5 children between the two of them (Brianna, Brad, Ashley, Kayla and Carly). They are also the proud grandparents of 7 wonderful grandchildren. Tracey has worked at Black Hills State University for 20 years and is currently a Senior Computer Support Specialist for Network and Computer Services. Brent was born and raised in Belle Fourche, SD and has been employed with CenturyLink for 30 years. Both her and her husband have been the West River Power lifting coaches for Peaks Special Olympics since 2007 and are also the SD State Special Olympics meet directors when the event is held in the Black Hills. Tracey is also the Chair on the Peaks Steering committee for Special Olympics, member of the Friends of NHTC Board and is a certified nutrition specialist as well as an ISSA certified personal trainer. Inspired by their granddaughter, Avalee, who has Cerebral Palsy and Autism, Tracey and Brent got involved in Special Olympics and have made so many memories over the years. As power lifting coaches with a special needs grandchild of their own, they decided early on that they were committed to never turning someone away because of their ability and they would always find a way to include them in their team – no matter what. To this day, they have never had to turn someone away. In her spare time, Tracey enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and family. In the summer they love to be on the boat with their kids and grandkids making memories like they had growing up that last a lifetime. Tracey loves Spearfish and being part of a great community.
