Funding

The primary funding mechanism for services to adults with developmental disabilities in South Dakota is currently HCBS, or Home and Community Based Services.

This funding is a State of South Dakota match for Federal Medicaid dollars.
Additional State General Fund dollars are available for Community Training Services, and a few individuals receive financial support from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation or private payment for services.
